1. ABERRATIONS
1. Chromatic distortion is a color distortion caused by focus problems of various wavelengths of Iight. 2. Spherical distortion is the misalignment of refracted Iight on the optical axis through a spherical lens. This affects the sharpness of the image.
3. Distortion is expressed as percentage and it affects the overall shape of the image.
4. Astigmatism is the uneven foreground and background blur that is in the image. Coma is when the contrast at the edges of the image is poor.
2. ACCESSORIES
1. Converter is a device that converts the lens to either a wide angle or telephoto format. 2. Extender is a device that increases the focal length of the lens. And also cuts down on the degree of light hitting the pickup device.
3. APERTURE
The opening of a lens which controls the amount of light reaching the surface of the pickup device. The size of the aperture is controlled by the iris adjustment. By increasing the f stop number ( f 1.4, f 1.8, f 2.8 etc.) less light is permitted to pass to the pickup device. 4. ASPECT RATIO
The ratio of the picture frame width to the picture frame height in standard TV systems. It is 4 units horizontal over 3 units vertical.
5. ATTENUATION
A decrease or loss in a signal.(É a perda de sinal).
6. AUTOMATIC FREQUENCY CONTROL (AFC)
An electronic circuit used whereby the frequency of an oscillator is automatically maintained within specified limits.(Um circuito eletrônico utilizado por onde a frequência de um oscillator é automaticamente mantida dentro especificado limites).
7. AUTOMATIC IRIS LENS
A lens in which the aperture automatically opens or closes to maintain proper light levels on the faceplate of the camera pickup device.(Umas lentes em que o orifício automaticamente abre ou fecha para manter níveis leves).
8. AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL
The process by which the illumination incident upon the face of the pickup device is automatically adjusted as a function of the brightness of the scene.
9. AUTOMATIC PAN
Continuous, automatic horizontal back and forth motion of a camera.
10. AUTOMATIC SCAN
Same as automatic pan.
11. AUTOMATIC SENSITIVITY CONTROL
Electronic circuit which varies the sensitivity of the system as a function of automatic target control, automatic light controls, other specified control parameters or any combination thereof.
12. AUTOMATIC TARGET CONTROL
An electronic circuit which controls the target voltage of the pickup device as a function of the scene brightness.
