1. HARMONIC
A signal that has a frequency which is an integral of the fundamental frequency from which it is derived.
2. HIGHLIGHTS
The maximum brightness of the picture, which occurs in the regions of highest illumination.
3. HOMING
The process of displaying one of a number of camera outputs on a given monitor.
4. HORIZONTAL (HUM) BARS
Horizontal bars, alternately black and white, which extend over the entire picture. They are known as venetian-blind. They may be stationary or move
up or down. They are often caused by approximate 60 Hertz interfering frequency or its harmonic frequencies.
5. HORIZONTAL BLANKING
The blanking signal that is produced at the end of each scanning line.
6. HORIZONTAL RESOLUTION
The maximum number of individual picture elements that can be distinguished in a single horizontal scanning line.
7. HORIZONTAL RETRACE
The return of the electron beam from the right to the left side of the raster after the scanning of one line while the screen is blanked or cut off.
8. HUE
The dimension of color that is referred to a scale of perceptions ranging from red through yellow, green, blue back to red.
9. HUM
Electrical disturbance at the power supply frequency or harmonics thereof.
